Set within an empty room that evokes another era, the project unfolds as an imaginary runway, where garments become the protagonists of a suspended, dreamlike visual narrative. Unexpected appearances and subtle gestures emerge within the space, revealing the pieces through a play of silhouettes, textures, and carefully constructed atmospheres.
Conceived as a visual environment between fashion, film, and photography, the project explores the relationship between stillness and movement, presence and absence. The film was directed and shot by Tania Alineri, who also oversaw the editing process and special effects, shaping the rhythm and visual continuity of the narrative. The sound installation was curated and coordinated by Alineri, contributing to the film’s immersive and evocative atmosphere.
The photographic series extends the same visual language into a still dimension. As art director, Alineri worked in close collaboration with the photographer, overseeing each stage of the process with particular attention to composition, poses, lighting, and the presentation of the garments. This meticulous approach enhances the character, construction, and visual impact of each piece, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic across the entire project.

“For Paris Fashion Week, Sylvio Giardina presented a five-look Haute Couture capsule collection for Autumn/Winter 2021/22 through a short film directed by Tania Alineri. The collection explores the relationship between traditional craftsmanship and experimental textile construction, combining velvet, tulle, crêpe, organza, gazar, and hand-applied embellishments. Each garment was developed through extensive artisanal work, highlighting the time and craftsmanship behind made-to-measure couture.”
